More Information

Registration Information:  Pre-registration is necessary for all programs unless otherwise noted.  Registrations will be taken on a first-come first-serve basis, and will not be taken after the registration deadline unless the class is not at full capacity.  Late registrations will be charged an additional fee.  When a class is at its maximum enrollment, a waiting list will be established.  We reserve the right to cancel any program/activity due to insufficient registration or other causes beyond our control.  Registrations accepted by mail or walk-in.

Fees:  There are generally two dollar amounts listed next to each “entry fee”.  The first figure is the amount to be paid by participants residing within the city limits; the second figure is to be paid by individuals residing outside the city.  Residents of the city of El Dorado pay a mill levy tax to support recreation programs; non-residents do not pay this mill levy tax.  All program fees are payable to the City of El Dorado Recreation Department.

Refund Policy:  We reserve the right to establish fees for all programs and to cancel those programs not having sufficient enrollment.  Registrants will be notified in the event of cancellation.  Program refunds will be issued in full if the Recreation Department cancels the class.  Program refunds will not be issued after the program has begun.

Forming a Team with Friends...

The City of El Dorado Recreation Department offers both competitive and recreational leagues for adults.  Trying to decide which way to go?  Here's a fun quiz to help you.

  • Will you implement vigorous warm-up and stretching routines for your team?  If yes, choose competitive.
  • Will your team chant be centered around your favorite beverage of choice?  If yes, choose recreational.
  • Will your team arrive with logo-ed equipment bags from your sponsor?  If yes, choose competitive.
  • Will your team physical fitness evaluations include the term "couch-potatoes welcome"?  If yes, choose recreational.

No matter what league you choose, please remember the following "Must-Do's":

  • Exhibit good, positive sportmanship. Always.
  • Have FUN while getting a little exercise.
  • Choose healthy lifestyles to promote good play.
  • Provide childcare for your team.  Safety is a priority - for everyone!
