2011 Sales Tax Resurfacing Project-This is a continuation of our annual sales tax street improvement project. The streets being resurfaced this year include: 3rd Ave (Washington to Orchard), Alleghany (3rd to 6th), Taylor (5th to 6th) and Frazier (3rd to 4th).
McDonald Stadium-We are completing grading work and planting new grass in the outfield and will also be constructing new dugouts. This project will be completed and ready for the spring baseball season.
North Main Sidewalks Phase II-Is an extension of the multi use pedestrian path built last year and will run from Post Rd to McCollum Rd.
Spray Park-This will be the City’s second spray park and is located in North Main Park. It will contain 20 water features and will be opened Memorial Day 2012.
Adult Softball Fields-Adding two additional softball fields at the Lake complex and they will be completed by next years softball season.
Intersection Improvements of Vine/Central-This is a geometric improvement that will begin September 2011. We will be widening the intersection to improve turning movements for commercial truck traffic and are anticipating completion early 2012.
Waste Water Treatment Plant Wind Turbine-The final plans are currently being developed and we are anticipating construction to begin this winter with a completion in the summer of 2012.
