Over 100 years old, the El Dorado public schools have developed a proud tradition for excellence in education - success which is attributed to four facts: interested and supportive parents, motivated students, well-trained and caring faculty and a community that values education.
The district operates six schools: four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. All schools are accredited through the Kansas North Central Association and Kansas State Department of Education. The elementary student population is over 1,000. The middle school population is around 450 and the high school population is over 550 students.
The El Dorado Public School District is recognized as a leader in school improvement and in the integration of technology into the classroom. The district has a 1 to 1 laptop program for all high school students and all teachers and a 1 to 1 iPad program for all middle school students. There is wireless access throughout the district.
Our students excel in academics, debate, forensics, student congress, scholastic competitions, and other contests in journalism, music, art, photography and writing.
