This course is designed for those with basic Excel
knowledge who want to learn intermediate Excel
features, such as customizing toolbars and menus,
consolidating data, using advanced chart formatting
options, sorting and filtering lists, and using special
formatting options. Using templates and using error
tracking features, and protecting worksheets are
covered. Sorting lists by columns and filtering lists
based on complex criteria, formatting data points,
creating combination charts and trend lines, and
adding and formatting graphic elements are taught.
Using auditing features, adding comments and text
boxes, and protecting a worksheet or part of a
worksheet complete the session.

CPIM-APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management

The APICS CPIM program has been organized into five modules, each
focusing on key areas of study that are integral to an understanding and mastery of production and inventory management principles. Candidates must pass an exam for each of the modules to successfully complete the APICS CPIM program. The APICS CPIM Basics of Supply Chain
Management module has been updated to keep pace with the rapid changes in the marketplace and to better align with the APICS CPIM exams.

Introduction to Materials Management (optional)

This is an introductory class highly recommended for anyone
considering CPIM certification but it is not a required course in the program. It is based upon the Tony Arnold text and describes the basics of supply chain management, manufacturing planning and control systems,
purchasing, and physical distribution.

Basics of Supply Chain Management (Entry Mode)
Tuesdays, Jan. 6 - Feb. 20, 2015

The basic concepts in managing the complete flow of materials in a supply chain from suppliers to customers are covered in the Basics module. Supply chain concepts are introduced and basic terminology emphasized, as are relationships among activities in the supply chain. Knowledge of the
material in this module is assumed as a prerequisite for the other APICS CPIM modules, which cover similar topics but in much greater depth.

Master Planning of Resources (Core Competency Module)

The topics of demand management, sales and operations planning, and master scheduling are examined in-depth in this module. Both supply and demand planning for mid– to long-term independent demand are discussed. Priority planning and capacity planning issues also are addressed.
