CPIM-APIC Execution and Control of Operations

The APICS CPIM program has been organized into five modules, each
focusing on key areas of study that are integral to an understanding and mastery of production and inventory management principles. Candidates must pass an exam for each of the modules to successfully complete the APICS CPIM program. Each module costs $297.
MODULE 4: Execution and Control of Operations - The principles, approaches and techniques needed to schedule, control, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of production operations are covered in this module. A broad range of production operations are reviewed including project, batch, line, continuous, and remanufacturing environments.

Fast Track Welding Program

Date: Monday June 29, 2015 through Friday July 17, 2015

Price: 40 Hour $499 OR 60 hour $750 plus $400 if testing
Welding continues to be a high-demand career and Butler is
providing an accelerated path to the workforce. BETA now offers both, a 2 or 3-week non-credit, fast track
program that lets you learn the skills and safety practices to
perform various types of welding. Learn what you need to know
during the 2 or 3-week sessions and, for an additional fee, you can be tested on the last day for the AWS Certification in one method.
• Gas metal arc (GMAW)
• Gas tungsten arc (GTAW)
• Shielded metal arc (SMAW)
This approach will allow individuals,
both employed and those looking for
employment, to advance their career

demands of their schedule.

Introduction to Code Workshops

Workshop 1: HTML & CSS 1 - Ditch the WYSIWYG
So you’ve published on the web before, but you’re still scared of what lurks behind the “code” button on your WYSIWYG editor? Don’t be! Learn how to navigate HTML, the code that makes up the web, and how to wrangle that code with CSS, the code that makes the web look good.
Workshop 2: Deeper into HTML and CSS, inc. Bootstrap - Other People’s Styles
With a basic understanding of HTML and CSS, you can use tools like Bootstrap to speed up your work. Learn everything you need to know to go from empty files to ready to publish in one afternoon.
Workshop 3: Intro to Javascript - Your First Programming Language
With Javascript, you can start to make your code dynamic. Learn how Javascript can move things on a web page, change colors, and do complex mathematical calculations.
Workshop 4: Javascript with Libraries - How to use the Library
Combine the power of Javascript with a library like jQuery you can work faster and accomplish so much more.
Workshop 5: Version Control with Git
Use Git to track changes, collaborate with other developers, maintain an archive of your projects, and keep changes in check.

Fiber Optic Technology for Telephone Technicians (CFOT & CFOS/O)

This five day class will train telephone company technicians on fiber optic technology and outside plant practices. Complete hands-on training in cable and splice closure prep, grounding, splicing, testing,troubleshooting, and plant documentation. FTTH practices will be covered. This class will prepare the student to take the FOA CFOT & CFOS/O examination.

Who is this program for?
Anyone, at any skill level, could be eligible to join the course. The purpose of the program is to train individuals wanting to learn how to program for employment or enjoyment.
How are the Courses Formatted?
Each course meets two days each week for two hours. A good portion of the course will be work on your own time. You will have access to virtual coaching throughout the week. The courses are intense programs with a tremendous amount of learning and covering a large array of topics very quickly. You should expect four to six hours of work outside of class each week.
Requirements?
You must bring your own laptop to class each day. Each course requires the completion of an exam to ensure competency prior to admittance.
