Understanding Financial Statements Workshop- Augusta

If you are a small business owner, this workshop is for you! In this workshop you will gain an understanding of basic accounting terminology, have a working knowledge of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statement, etc.) and what they mean and know how to analyze your financial statements to better manage your business. Financial ratios, measurements and controls will be discussed to provide better oversight of your business. We will also discuss how to calculate Mark-up vs. Margin, how they are different, and how each affects your profitability. This workshop is presented by the KSBDC. Registration is required one week prior to the workshop. There is no fee for this class.

PHR/SPHR Certification Preparatory Course

This professional development program is designed for two
audiences:
 Participants seeking continuing professional development and
a broad overview of the field, and
 Participants preparing to take the Professional in Human
Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources
(SPHR) certification examinations administered by the HR
Certification Institute.
This program’s instructor has an outstanding record of participants passing
the certification exams. The program uses the SHRM® Learning System
which is updated with current HR policies and legislation. As a professional
development tool, the Learning System can increase a participant’s
knowledge of the field of human resources and provide current reference of
HR practices. As a certification preparation tool, the Learning System has a
measurable track record of success for those qualified to sit for the exam.
This course is offered in partnership with the Society for Human
Resource Management (SHRM). The course investment includes all course
materials but does not cover registration for the PHR or SPHR examinations.

Course Details:
Prepare for the PHR or SPHR certification exam using the SHRM Learning

knowledge. Through classroom sessions, homework exercises consisting of
sample tests and periodic progress checks, the student gains the knowledge
base in preparation for the PHR or SPHR certification exam.
