Melissa Elliott will instruct potential health care workers,
preparing them to take the Test of Essential Academic Skills
(TEAS) exam. This exam is required for entrance into many
programs such as nursing and dental hygiene. The course
will run for 10 weeks and will cover test taking strategies and
testing over all four sections of the TEAS exam.
Class periods will consist of practice tests, 2 reading, 3 math,
2 science and 2 English and provide instant feedback for
improvement. This feedback can be used to direct study on
topics that need enhancement.
Class sections are:

CPIM-Master Planning of Resources Module

The APICS CPIM program has been organized into five modules, each
focusing on key areas of study that are integral to an understanding and mastery of production and inventory management principles. Candidates must pass an exam for each of the modules to successfully complete the APICS CPIM program.

MODULE 2 (Core Competency Module): Master Planning of Resources
The topics of demand management, sales and operations planning, and master scheduling are examined in-depth in this module. Both supply and demand planning for mid-to-long term independent demand are discussed. Priority planning issues are also addressed.

There will be two segments to this workshop:
Sales & Use Tax: This segment explains the differences between the Kansas Retailers’ Sales Tax, the Kansas Retailers’ Compensating Use Tax and the Kansas Consumers’ Compensating Use Tax. You will be given a basic understanding of the goods and services subject to sales tax and applicable exemptions. It will also explain the record keeping, filing requirements and form preparation.

Estimated Tax: This segment explains what estimated taxes are and provides the requirements and procedure for paying Kansas estimated income tax.

This seminar is conducted by a representative of the Kansas Department of Revenue.
