El Dorado Kiwanis

Meeting Location: Lunch meeting at noon, every Thursday, at Hubbard Welcome Center 901 S. Haverhill Rd, El Dorado

How Does Kiwanis Benefit our Community?

- Gift of $500 for each elementary school for a petty cash fund to help with needs of the children (total of $3,000).
- Gift of $1000 to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
- Sponsor and conduct the Kiwanis/USD490 Science Fair.
- Provides an Adopt-A-Class mentoring team that meets with their class weekly.
- Provide scholarships and/or support to the following in the last year:  American Legion Girls' state, Bradford Library Summer Program, Drug Safety program, EHS Encore Trip to Branson, El Dorado Prairie Port , 4-H Leadership Award support, Safe House, Bethlehem house.
- Support the Salvation Army by ringing bells and holding an annual food drive at Christmas.
- Provide man hours supporting Numana relief to Haiti.
- Hold a Tree Sale, as a fundraiser, but also as a "Going Green" event for the community.
