Boulder Bluff Horse Trail

The trail is open year round at the Boulder Bluff Area One, and Two horse camping sites. The trailhead begins on the west end of Area One campground, where a large sign marks the entrance. The trail itself meanders for 17 miles through diverse terrain—a beautiful and scenic trot through the Flint Hills, as well as hugging the shorelines of the El Dorado Lake. Along the way, a variety of wildlife may be visible, such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, prairie chicken, squirrel, rabbit, dove and an assortment of waterfowl.
