With 1,100 campsites, 10 boat ramps, and Shady Creek Marina, El Dorado boasts 8000 acres of liquid fun. It is a place where campgrounds become communities and campfires beckon neighbors to come and “sit a spell”.
El Dorado Camping
The El Dorado State Park consists of four primary campgrounds which include the following amenities:
- Marina
- Sailing club
- Approximately 1,100 campsites
- Picnic shelters
- Rental cabins
- Trails for horses, bicycles and walking
- Beaches for swimming and recreation
- Restrooms & shower houses
- ADA playgrounds
- Boat ramps
- Laundry facilities
Camping Rules
- Do not feed wildlife
- Take precautions when camping in areas that might flood
- Take non perishable food to avoid illness
- Be courteous and remember you are sharing lands with other campers
- Do not camp in unauthorized areas or in the wildlife area
- Bring along extra safety items such as water, flashlights, maps and a cell phone or radio
- In the primitive areas, please take all trash with you as trash barrels are not provided
